“When I started with Melina, English was one thing above all else for me: unpleasant. I’d had tutoring before, but I felt uncomfortable there—misunderstood, exposed, almost ashamed that my English wasn't as good as I would have liked it to be. So I came to Melina with a great deal of uncertainty.

I never thought I'd say that I like grammar—but Melina made it happen. She explains everything in conversation, in context, with examples that make sense and stick in your mind. 

And yet every lesson is also personal. We laugh a lot, talk about language, but also about everything else. It's not just tutoring, it's almost like a little break with someone who is good for you. I am really grateful to have found Melina – as a teacher, but above all as a person."
